About the Event

Winter is about rest and reflection. As nature hibernates, resting and repairing ahead of the new year, this is a perfect opportunity to take time to reflect on your year, to rest body and mind, and experience the natural gentle ebb and flow of life.

ABOUT

Learn about the energy of Winter Yoga practice as we work our way though the carefully crafted plan of activities over the two days. We will embrace the yin style of yoga, in workshops and gentle flow classes, and we will enjoy a stravaig by the lochan, with Qi Gong and meditation, time for journaling, and wild outdoor yoga. Our day is punctuated with ample breaks to enjoy time for reflecting and connecting with the others on the weekend.  We will immerse ourselves in discussion over delicious seasonal lunches and dinner, as we explore what it is to live seasonally.

Our weekend finishes with, you guessed it, tea and cake and new friendships forged. You will leave with a real sense of what it means to rest and reflect. This is a deliberately small-scale  experience with only eight spaces available.

Our weekends are suitable for all levels of fitness and beginners to yoga are welcome as well as those looking to further their practice.

The weekend begins at 9am on Saturday and finishes at 4pm on Sunday.  Please bring warm clothes and waterproofs as some of our practice will be outdoors.

WHAT TO EXPECT: • Experience a variety of yoga classes, meditation, Chi Gong, mindful activities, workshops and talks that will connect you with the energy of the season. • Time for individual quiet reflection and personal learning. • Delicious vegetarian/vegan lunches on both Saturday and Sunday, evening meal on Saturday and tasty snacks and hot drinks throughout the weekend. This weekend is non-residential, all meals, drinks and snacks (apart from breakfast) are provided as part of the ticket price. • The opportunity to share your experiences, chat and connect with like-minded people. • The retreat begins on Saturday at 9am and includes sessions throughout the morning, afternoon and evening, finishing at 9pm. Sunday begins at 9am and finishes at 4pm. • Ticket numbers are strictly limited to maintain a warm and supportive group dynamic.
